Children's Research University

Introduction

The Department of Research Program has been established vide Children’s University Act (CU Act), 2009, Section 6(4)(ii) of the Children’s University. The objectives of the Department are as follows aligning to the objects laid down in Section 5 (6 & 7) of CU Act,2009. Department of Research Program offers full-time and parttime Ph. D. program in various child-centric subjects and full-time students can receive fellowship to be provided by the University and other funding agencies by qualifying in required selection process. Presently, Research Program also offered two PG Programs: 1. Master of Social Work and 2. M.Sc. Food and Nutrition

Functions

To undertake, organize and conduct, under the Department, educational programmes for the University students engaged in research for Ph.D. and PG Programs relating to child education.
To provide for instruction, extension, teaching and training in such branches or learning and course of study as the University may, from time to time determine.
To endeavour to enrich the present system of education so as to make it more responsive to the ideals of Indian Nationalism and Internationalism.
To develop new system of education as supplementary or alternative to existing system of education.
To fix, demand and receive fees and other charges.
To establish, organize, maintain, manage and supervise and control the functioning of departments, generally, and in particular laboratories, computer center and equipments.
