Children's Research University

Introduction

The Centre of Educaon has been established vide Children's University Act (CU Act), 2009, Secon 6(4)(ii) of the Children's University. The objecves of the centre are as follows aligning to the objects laid down in Secon 5 (6 & 7) of CU Act,2009.

Presently, under the Centre of Educaon four departments are funconing, they are: (1) Department of Research Program (2) Department of PG and PG Diploma Program (3) Department of UG and Cerficate Program (4) Department of Enrichment Program. In which, Department of Research Program offers full-me and part-me Ph. D. program in various child-centric subjects and full-me students can avail fellowship to be provided by the University and other funding agencies by qualifying in required selecon process. Presently, Department of PG & PG Diploma Program offered total four PG Programs: 1. M.A. in Psychology 2. M.A. in Sanskrit 3. Master of Social Work 4. M.Sc. in Food and Nutrion.

Objectives

To offer Ph.D., PG & PG Diploma, UG & Cerficate program and Enrichment Program dedicated to holisc development of the child.
To maintain the quality of the program offered by the centre through supervision and regulaon of the admission, teaching-learning, examinaon-evaluaon process of the program offered by the centre.
To conduct research, extension and training program for enhancing culture of the quality among the faculty as well as students.

Functions

To undertake, organize and conduct, under the Center of Educaon, educaonal programmes for the University students engaged in research for Ph.D. and doctoral programs relang to child educaon.
To provide for instrucon, extension, teaching and training in such branches or learning and course of study as the University may, from me to me determine.
To supervise, control and regulate the conduct and discipline and periodical assessment of the performance of the students.
To endeavour to enrich the present system of educaon so as to make it more responsive to the ideals of Indian Naonalism and Internaonalism.
To develop new system of educaon as supplementary or alternave to exisng system of educaon.
To fix, demand and receive fees and other charges.
To supervise, control and regulate admission of students.
To establish, organize, maintain, manage and supervise and control the funconing of centre and departments, generally, and in parcular laboratories, computer center and equipments.
