Children's Research University

Introduction

The Centre of Education has been established vide Children's Research University Act (CRU Act) 2009, Section 6(4)(ii). The objecves of the centre are as follows aligning to the objects laid down in Secon 5 (6 & 7) of the Children's Research University Act, 2009.

The Center of Education works for the development of both the quality and quantity of PG and PhD programs run in the university and the students studying in the programs. The Centre is striving to accelerate the implementation and operationalization of the National Education Policy in universities through the child centric focus in the academic field.

Presently, in the field of academics, the University offers full-time and part-time Ph.D. programs in various child-centric subjects and the full time students can avail fellowship to be provided by the University and other funding agencies by qualifying in the required selection process. Presently, the Department of P.G., & P.G. Diploma Program offer two P.G. Programs: (1) Master of Social Work and (2) M.Sc. in Food and Nutrition. Additionally, under the Department of Research Program, research scholars of various subjects are engaged in research work in child centric studies.

Objectives

To offer Ph.D., PG & PG Diploma, UG & Cerficate program and Enrichment Program dedicated to holisc development of the child.
To maintain the quality of the program offered by the centre through supervision and regulaon of the admission, teaching-learning, examinaon-evaluaon process of the program offered by the centre.
To conduct research, extension and training program for enhancing culture of the quality among the faculty as well as students.

Functions

To undertake, organize and conduct, under the Center of Educaon, educaonal programmes for the University students engaged in research for Ph.D. and doctoral programs relang to child educaon.
To provide for instrucon, extension, teaching and training in such branches or learning and course of study as the University may, from me to me determine.
To supervise, control and regulate the conduct and discipline and periodical assessment of the performance of the students.
To endeavour to enrich the present system of educaon so as to make it more responsive to the ideals of Indian Naonalism and Internaonalism.
To develop new system of educaon as supplementary or alternave to exisng system of educaon.
To fix, demand and receive fees and other charges.
To supervise, control and regulate admission of students.
To establish, organize, maintain, manage and supervise and control the funconing of centre and departments, generally, and in parcular laboratories, computer center and equipments.
